Nashville four-piece Bully have released “Trying,” the first official single from their debut LP, Feels Like. The song has a touch more hook and 90’s-grunge than their previous track from the album, “I Remember,” heard here.
Bully is spearheaded by singer/producer/engineer Alicia Bognanno, and features Stewart Copeland on drums, Reece Lazarus on bass, and Clayton Parker on guitar. The group recorded Feels Like at Steve Albini’s Electrical Audio, a studio where Bognanno had previously interned and learned analog engineering and mixing methods.
Feels Like, an album about (amongst other things) break ups, vomiting in cars, and missed periods, will be released on June 23, via StarTime International (Columbia), and is available for pre-order here. Stay tuned for more from Bully’s debut LP, which will undoubtedly feature more angst-driven wailing and heart-on-your-sleeve honest lyrics.
