Fast-Rising Australian Duo Kllo Announce New EP, Well Worn, Listen to “Bolide”

The music industry moves so fast nowadays that Melbourne-based Kllo hardly had a Facebook page before buzz began surrounding their debut EP Cusp was released in 2014. The duo, made up of cousins Simon Lam and Chloe Kaul, sold out venues and were featured on multiple festival lineups in the year following the release of Cusp, while stacking up over one million Spotify plays in 2015.

Today, the group shares news of a new EP, Well Worn, and to coincide with the news, they’ve shared a stellar new track, “Bolide” (streaming above). Well Worn is set for an August 5th release date and will mark their Ghostly International debut. The American indie label was co-founded by Sam Valenti IV and indie-electronic artist and producer Matthew Dear in 1999. The label has released works by Com Truise, School of Seven Bells, and Tycho, to name a few.

“Bolide” highlights the duos strengths: Kaul’s delicate and beautifully light vocals over a glossy and intricate beat. Piloted by UK garage and underground dance music, Kllo adds a welcomed element of dream pop to their songs that are reminiscent of Wet and fellow Ghostly International artist School of Seven Bells.

Their previous EP Cusp is highly recommended listening as well, priming you for the release of Well Worn and a hopefully inevitable full length release in the near future.
