Run The Jewels Unleash Latest Single “Talk To Me”

Today marks the 2-year anniversary of the debut of Run The Jewels’ sophomore album RTJ2. Today also marks the day we get our first taste of RTJ3, Run the Jewels’ forthcoming third LP.

Streaming above, “Talk to Me” is the exact amount of hype we’ve come to expect from Killer Mike and El-P, and is available for download via the Adult Swim Singles Program. El-P’s production (along with Little Shalimar and Wilder Zoby) proves yet again to be the best home for a Killer Mike verbal-punch in the face (“Born black that’s dead on arrival / My job is to fight for survival / In spite of all these all lives matter-ass-white folk”), and El-P jumps on after introducing himself with “Brave men did not die face down in the Vietnam mud so I could not style on you / I didn’t walk uphill both ways to the booth and back to not wild on you”

It’s politically charged, it’s rowdy, and it is more than enough to get you pumped for RTJ3 (which they further hype up throughout the song). The album is coming, and knowing the duo’s political history, I’d put good odds on RTJ3 coming out on or near November 8th.
