Twin Peaks Share Record Store Day B-Side – “Got Your Money”

We first discovered the dudes from Twin Peaks as the biggest surprising stars of last year’s Pitchfork Music Festival, and since then, nothing has been the same. They released their debut full length album, Wild Onion, last fall, and have been on a constant touring schedule ever since. The Chicago-based group is an absolute delight live, with lead guitarist/occasional singer Cadien Lake James head on a constant swivel while he plays, and other guitarist/occasional singer Clay Frankel continuously bouncing and shouting at the top of his lungs. To boot, these guys are all in their early twenties.

The guys have shared the B-Side to their contribution to the music lover’s favorite holiday, Record Store Day, hitting your local record store this Saturday, April 18. You can stream “Got Your Money” above, the B-Side to their single, “In The Morning (In The Evening).” The B-Side, according to Cadien, “…is one of the earliest TP songs, essentially a lost number from the Sunken days… It’s a song loosely born around the movie True Romance, but upon its revival was also inspired by current events in our country.”

I’m assuming he means it’s a response to Rihanna’s latest track, “Bitch Better Have My Money.”

Here’s the full list of Record Store Day releases, and check out Twin Peaks in a town near you, tour dates below, including festival dates at Lollapalooza and Outside Lands.
