Omni’s debut album Deluxe is streaming now, a week ahead of its scheduled release date next week. The Atlanta-based trio, featuring former members of Deerhoof and Carnivores, will release the album via Trouble In Mind on Friday, July 8th.
The album serves as another reminder in modern rock that doesn’t need to be overly polished, weighed down by synths and formulaic chord progressions. Deluxe is at its greatest when its at its messiest, with tracks like “Siam” seemingly going off-the-rails before quieting down and finding a natural resting place.
